Job Summary

The Plant Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to the production team to achieve established goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze production performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with quality personnel to ensure product consistency and monitor scrap rates to determine trends and areas for improvement.
  • Review and adjust production schedules to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize waste.
  • Develop and manage the plant's manufacturing budget, identifying opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining product quality.
  • Work closely with the Environmental Health and Safety team to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity and efficiency, including the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, Industrial Technology, or Engineering.
  • 6+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles, with a strong background in production management and process improvement.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles, with the ability to manage budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and achieving goals.
