We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Sierra Aluminum. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Develop and maintain training programs to ensure employees are aware of safety procedures and protocols.
- Investigate and report all accidents and incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Stay up-to-date with local and national laws and regulations regarding safety and environment.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Biochemistry, Safety and Hygiene, Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
- 5+ years' experience in Environmental and Safety.
- Knowledge of local and national laws and regulations regarding safety and environment.
- Policy and process development skills.
- Ability to speak both English and Spanish.
- Communication skills to influence all levels of the organization.
- Results-oriented with great organizational skills.
- Ability to travel to California for training and alignment with existing operations.
