The Opportunity

FICO is on the lookout for an AWS Cloud Engineer who excels in a dynamic, cutting-edge Cloud setting. This role will play a crucial part in transitioning our current offerings, alongside the creation of innovative solutions within our cloud ecosystem.

Your Contributions

  • Architect, manage, and scale our infrastructure, adhering to Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) principles.
  • Supervise systems and resources dedicated to alerting, logging, backups, disaster recovery, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with other software engineering teams to develop fault-tolerant and resilient services aligned with our infrastructure best practices.
  • Enhance the efficiency and reliability of our CI/CD pipelines.
  • Maintain a security-first mindset in all tasks.
  • Be prepared to be on-call for engineering project support as needed.

What We Are Looking For

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Capability to design and execute highly automated and comprehensive solutions.
  • Serve as a technical leader for the team, demonstrating a strong ability to lead by example.
  • Hands-on experience with a cloud provider (preferably AWS), including the maintenance or deployment of production application infrastructure.
  • Extensive experience with distributed systems and container orchestration, including managing or building Kubernetes clusters.
  • Expertise in developing and sustaining CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Helm, and ArgoCD.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD tools including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Harness, ArgoCD, and Crossplane.
  • Solid grasp of Infrastructure as Code (IAC), ideally using Terraform or Crossplane composition.
  • Experience in hosting and supporting the Atlassian suite of tools, specifically Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Bash.
  • Practical experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Splunk.
