Finastra DNS Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled DNS Engineer to join our DNS operations team at Finastra. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability and performance of our production DNS solution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure and manage DNS infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to resolve DNS outages and minimize future impact.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and architecture teams to identify opportunities for proactive improvement.
  • Provide tier 2 technical expertise for DNS-related issues and drive service ownership for the DNS Cloud.
Requirements:
  • Experience with BIND software, TCP/IP networking, and core technologies such as DHCP, HTTP, and HTTPS.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux environment, including DHCP, DNS, NTP, SYSLOG, and SSH.
  • Knowledge of system performance methodologies and hands-on experience with empirical monitoring and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong analytical approach to problem-solving and ability to troubleshoot complex issues quickly.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Infoblox devices and their WAPI interface.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory DNS integration with BIND-based platforms and management.
