Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Regional Electrical Engineering team. The successful candidate will provide specialized Electrical Engineering Support, including:

  1. Operations Support
  • Advanced Troubleshooting on Electrical Systems, focusing on Power Converters and Grid Issues.
  • Wind Turbine technical support to various electrical components, including power units, generators, transformers, motors, cables, electrical cabinets, controllers, grounding, lightning protection, etc.
  • Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis of Electrical Components Failures.
  • Creation of internal and external reports.
  • Development and revision of method statements for O&M personnel.
  • Support for technical customer discussions.
Sales and Proposal Support
  • Engineering scope support for aftermarket offers, including product and services.
Supply Chain/Procurement Support
  • Technical response and solutions for material dispositions.
  • Support for vendor qualification and evaluation.

Requirements

  1. 5+ years of solid work experience in electrical engineering roles, with Wind Industry experience highly preferred.
  2. Familiarity with 3-phase power converters and power units is highly preferred.
  3. Strong understanding of electrical power system operation and performance in steady state and fault conditions is required.
  4. Solid understanding of major wind turbine components and functions is required.
  5. Knowledge of Instrumentation, relaying/metering, CT/PT, HV/MV/LV components, medium voltage switchgear, and electrical codes/standards for Wind Power Plants is required.
  6. Schematics for control and power distribution systems, Single line diagrams, and general knowledge of communication and control systems are required.
  7. Fluent in English is a must, as you will work with global teams.
