Our Corporate Audit program is a critical component of this mission, and we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Principal Auditor to join our team.

In this role, you will report to the regional Corporate Audit Manager and contribute to the Corporate Audit program within the Latam and Canada region, as well as potential international assignments. You will develop a working knowledge of Medtronic's products, business models, processes, and operations, and utilize your field experience, business, and technical knowledge to lead a variety of audit/consulting engagements and support the company's objectives.

A Day in the Life

In your role, you will lead a variety of assignments across the region, including auditing sales offices/countries, new business models, global/region-led processes, post-acquisition audits, and advisory projects to support management on transformational initiatives. You will coordinate and work with the team on all phases of the audit cycle, from planning, fieldwork, and reporting activities. This role also offers an opportunity to expand your data analytics skillsets to drive audit results.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead audit projects in accordance with department standard operating procedures.
• Support business in evaluating and recommending improvements to business practices, processes, and control procedures.
• Design and prepare reports of findings and recommendations to management.
• Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits by examining and verifying accounting or operational records and procedures of internal organizations to determine the reliability and effectiveness of financial and control systems.
• Inspire, motivate, develop, and actively coach team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study (Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or any other related field).
• 7+ years of relevant experience in Audit (Big4 or internal audit).
• Understanding of internal control design and testing.
• Skilled in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio).
• Excellent interpersonal and English communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Experience with accounting and auditing theories and principles, including US GAAP and SOX.
• Able and willing to travel subject to local/international restrictions (domestic and international).
