The Import and Export Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of Eaton Corporation's import and export activities. This position is responsible for coordinating the import and export of materials for the Cuautitlan plant, ensuring timely deliveries through all customs, and maintaining accurate records of each shipment. The Analyst must stay up-to-date with current regulatory requirements and procedures, ensuring compliance with customs regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate import and export shipments to various Eaton plants
  • Manage fixed assets at the Cuautitlan plant
  • Conduct cost analysis of merchandise (UVA)
  • Review and process operation paperwork, including customs clearance services and bills of lading
  • Coordinate with suppliers, including carriers, customs brokers, and ocean companies
  • Prepare advance payments to the financial area
  • Generate reports for operations, including Vastera, record keeping, and follow-up
  • Manage inventory control through Vastera
  • Address trade compliance issues

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in global trade or a related field
  • Excellent knowledge of customs laws, including Ley Aduanera, Anexo 22, IMMEX, and RGC
  • Strong analytical, observational, and teamwork skills
  • Leadership skills and ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in English (80% or higher)
