About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our Comprehensive Customer Data team in Mexico City. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and taking ownership of mission-critical data pipelines and data products.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will collaborate with various internal teams to scope and deliver tools ensuring ease of system use. You will carefully review specifications, designs, and pull requests, providing constructive and helpful feedback. You will also write high-quality code, refactor, and optimize code for better scalability, performance, and readability.

You will integrate new frameworks, libraries, technologies, and components into our codebase. You will proactively log and collect metrics, monitor, alert, and address issues quickly. You will ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing applications, adhering to standards and procedures for implementing technical solutions.

You will execute production and support tasks according to a documented schedule that meets or exceeds customer expectations. You will support and mentor teams through design, implementation, and deployment of solutions using relevant technologies. You will also mentor junior engineers and identify opportunities to improve overall architecture to adapt and grow with changing business needs.

You will facilitate engineering discussions with business stakeholders, data analysts, data scientists, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements. You will own and lead the design of new features.

Requirements
  • A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience with building and maintaining data-intensive applications
  • Experience developing complex software systems scaling to millions of users with production-quality deployment, monitoring, and reliability
  • Experience with modern data technologies (Spark, Flink, Kafka, Airflow)
  • Strong background in Java or Python
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for collaborating across organizational boundaries
