At Gsb, we are seeking a highly skilled Weld Shop Consultant to join our team in Monterrey. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for guiding our team in process feasibility studies for new product requirements in existing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate team towards benchmarking body shop FTGs, electrical controls, automation & systems for energy efficiency & corrosion protection enhancement of product
  • Create various budget options and workouts which help towards taking strategic decisions related to equipment suppliers
  • Study the process and product requirements and guide others in selecting the right equipment based on requirements
  • Value addition through interactions with manufacturing team and collect equipment-related MTBF and MTTR data and incorporate the same in new equipment requirement RFQ preparation
  • Contribute and lead team members to create architecture for controls and robotics
  • Scout various suppliers, coordinate with suppliers, and discuss with suppliers technically
  • Confirm the adherence of RFQ by suppliers in terms of agreed specification quality and timely delivery
  • Identify and eliminate the capacity constraints as per volume demand using method study tools
  • Detail study of sustainable new technology processes, equipment, systems, material evaluation for implementation
  • Installation & commissioning and post-installation support
  • Leading and directing team towards successful implementation of Industry 4.0
  • Identifying the skill enhancement requirement of team and arranging appropriate trainings

Requirements:

  • 10-15 years of experience
  • Industry preferred: Automotive
  • Qualification: B.E. or B.Tech.

  • Automation knowledge of Body Shop robots
  • Vehicle Body aesthetics improvement knowledge
  • Layout preparation and finalization for Robotic & manual Lines
  • Techno/Commercial Comparisons amongst different Suppliers
  • Fixture design concept layout finalization and Approvals, fixture tryouts, and trouble shooting
  • Hands-on knowledge / experience with Catia V5 & Autocad
  • Process simulate Knowledge will be added advantage
  • Knowledge on MTM / MOST & cycle time evaluation study

Language: Advanced conversational English is essential.
