The Business Control Analyst 2 is a developing professional role at Citi. This role applies specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing, and/or evaluating processes and data. The analyst identifies policy gaps and formulates policies, interpreting data and making recommendations. The role involves researching and interpreting factual information, identifying inconsistencies in data or results, and defining business issues and formulating recommendations on policies, procedures, or practices. The analyst integrates established disciplinary knowledge within their specialty area with a basic understanding of related industry practices. They have a good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. The Business Control Analyst develops a working knowledge of industry practices and standards. They have a limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. The impact of the job holder is restricted to their team.

**Responsibilities:**

The Business Control Analyst is responsible for processing, researching, and adjudicating background screening cases for new hires across businesses. They research system issues, identifying process improvements, communicating changes and issues to clients, and testing key enhancements. The analyst analyzes diverse and high-volume data, articulating the results of analysis along with providing suggestions to resolve an issue or improve a process. They research system and process issues, identifying solutions and communicating procedure exceptions to business partners. The Business Control Analyst tests functional enhancements being implemented by vendors and integrated systems. They update documentation and communicate/training new processes and procedures to business partners. The analyst performs higher-level responsibilities involving applicant and employee communications such as fingerprint and criminal history check processing, background adjudication, delivering pre/post adverse actions, verification of drug testing, and responding to complex questions on pre-employment. They input process steps and status for each process in the Imaging Records Management System (IRM). The Business Control Analyst closes on pending Pre-employment cases for audit compliance. They resolve discrepancies with new hire background checks (Education and Employment verifications) and determining appropriate final dispositions for background cases in accordance with established guidelines. The analyst reports metrics and status reports to internal clients. They research system issues, identifying process improvements, communicating changes and issues to clients, and testing key enhancements.

**Qualifications:**

The Business Control Analyst requires 0-2 years of relevant experience. They have experience in data analysis and problem-solving with acute attention to detail. The analyst demonstrates organizational and follow-up skills, ability to multi-task, and maintain composure in a high-volume environment. They have excellent customer service skills, time management skills, effective communication skills (written and verbal), and proven analytical/problem-solving abilities.

**Education:**

The Business Control Analyst requires a Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.

- Realizar monitoreos MCA (elaborar cedulas de monitoreo, documentar evidencias y carga de información)

- Mapear procesos de negocio (visio, power point, excel)

- Generar indicadores de resultados (excel)

- Interacción con negocios (habilidades de comunicación y negociación)

Licenciatura Económico-Administrativa o experiencia equivalente

Conocimiento de Políticas del Banco 1-2 años o experiencia financiera deseable

Conocimiento de herramientas visio, power point, Excel (nível intermedio), CitiRisk

Inglés Intermedio, escrito

Conocimiento de mapeo de procesos y pruebas MCA
