Key Responsibilities:

  • Distribution Operations:
  • Lead NAM distribution center execution, ensuring objectives in Safety, Quality, Velocity, Productivity, and Inventory are met.
  • Develop and implement distribution standard processes, policies, systems, measurements, and talent management in partnership with Enterprise Logistics.
  • Implement best-in-class WMS & TMS technology, handhelds, MHE, and other suitable assets to optimize logistics processes.
  • Partner with Logistics service providers on daily execution and lead in Lean enterprise principles, methodologies, and behaviors.
  • Compliance and Import/Export:
  • Ensure Customs documents are filed correctly, compliant with existing tariff and non-tariff regulations, and duty deferral programs (IMMEX program).
  • Settle level compliance of temporary imports of machinery and equipment regarding legal entry, stay, location, and use.
  • Verify incoterm rules prevailing on foreign trade transactions are declared on customs documents to prevent issues with valuation.
  • Supervise Customs documents for transfers of temporary imported goods made to another company operating an IMMEX program.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or Mechanical engineering required.
  • 8+ years' experience in Transportation, Warehousing, and Import/Export Compliance Management.
  • Deep experience leading transportation operations, optimizing transportation practices, and knowledge of Lean processes.
  • Strong knowledge in Transportation & Warehouse Management Systems, process management, planning, and change management.
  • Skill in identifying root causes of problems, developing recommendations for resolution, and using personal computers including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Benefits and Compensation:

nVent offers a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $160,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications, plus comprehensive benefits package, career growth opportunities, and a dynamic work environment.
