Job Summary

Lear Corporation, a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier, is seeking a highly skilled Customs Director to join our team. As a key member of our global indirect tax and customs team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable, efficient, and compliant movement of goods across international borders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage customs operations processes to ensure strict compliance with customs laws and regulations.
  • Advise upper management on legal customs and foreign trade compliance rules and regulations, with a focus on risk prevention.
  • Support corporate and divisional initiatives by making operational adjustments without compromising compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of customs-related activities.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in similar positions, preferably in the automotive sector.
  • Proficiency in SAP, QAD, or similar ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of US Customs, C-TPAT, and AEO Programs procedures.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Full bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish).
