Project Manager MEP Job Description

At Turner & Townsend, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager MEP to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the analysis and implementation of electromechanical and specialized installations to ensure they meet the technical specifications of the project and Mexican legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and evaluate construction drawings, technical specifications, and scopes of work on-site, comparing them to Mexican and client standards.
  • Develop construction schedules, cost estimates, support value engineering, and contribute to risk analysis.
  • Implement safety standards, best practices, installation of process equipment, and inspection of fabrication and installation of piping and equipment.
  • Plan and execute commissioning activities, work planning, scheduling, quality requirements, and manage work for self and team.
  • Facilitate design reviews, interpret scopes of work, clarify contractor doubts, and review bids.
  • Effective communication with client operations, preparing reports, attending meetings, and more.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of professional experience as a Project Manager in MEP design and construction for industrial projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with Electric, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Automation Systems.
  • Commissioning experience required, PMI certification is a plus.
  • Experience with LEED projects and proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of project management tools like Microsoft Project and Primavera P6, AutoCAD, BIM, and Microsoft Office tools.
