Laundry Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Laundry Assistant to join our team at JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa. As a Laundry Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and quality of our laundry operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, as well as inspecting cleanliness of articles removed from the washer, dryer, or dry-cleaning machines. They will also be required to set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics contained in load, and maintain accurate records of items laundered.

1. Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps.
2. Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard.
3. Inspect cleanliness of articles removed from the washer, dryer, or dry-cleaning machines and place in clean linen carts.
4. Maintain accurate records of items laundered.

• No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required for this position.
• No related work experience is necessary, but prior experience in a similar role would be beneficial.
• No supervisory experience is required, but candidates with leadership skills are encouraged to apply.
• No license or certification is required for this position.
