Job Summary

The Subdirector Wealth is a critical role within the Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) Risk team, responsible for ensuring compliance with data processing policies. This position requires a strong focus on risk management, data governance, and regulatory requirements.


Main Responsibilities
  • Data Infrastructure and Reporting Platform: Responsible for the data infrastructure, ingestion, treatment, and delivery, as well as the information and reporting platform, including risk intelligence analysis.
  • Risk Management: Ensures compliance with data processing policies, establishes work guidelines and priorities for Risk Data Services activities, and authorizes access to File Servers and File Systems in SAS.
  • Operational Accounting Reconciliations: Approves operational accounting reconciliations for critical processes and ensures that regulatory or auditing requirements are conducted timely and accurately.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Coordinates the production of secured and unsecured reports to support business needs, ensures timely and accurate management and delivery of reporting, and prioritizes projects to drive new reporting requirements to completion.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Supports the analysis of data to identify trends and key performance indicators, researches and explains significant variances, and reports findings to senior management with recommendations for improvement.
  • Team Management: Responsible for supervising a department or functional unit/team, managing people, performance, budget, and planning decisions, and acting in an advisory role to influence the direction of their discipline.

Requirements
  • Education: Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Management, or equivalent academic background.
  • Experience: Previous experience in Risk and/or Data management and/or Programming related matters, with a minimum of 8 years.
  • Language: Advanced English.
  • Skills: Analytical skills, decision-making abilities, planning, organization skills, negotiation skills, ability to influence people, and effective communication.
  • Accountability: Accountability and compromise with target dates.
