About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Bulk Materials Handling Engineer to join our team in Mexico. The successful candidate will have a strong background in bulk materials handling, with a focus on sealings, adhesives, sound deadeners, and coatings.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical detail engineering for material application in BIW components.
- Specify materials for pumping systems, including sealings, adhesives, sound deadeners, coatings, paints, and e-coat.
- Oversee material release in CAD design tools (NX) and PLM systems (Teamcenter).
- Support equipment specifications, installations, and process controls.
- Manage product design verification plans, evaluations, and material validation in the lab.
- Provide project management and field oversight for vehicle launching and pre-series prototypes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in bulk materials handling within the automotive industry, specifically with sealings, adhesives, sound deadeners, and coatings.
- Proficiency in NX and Teamcenter software.
- Strong expertise in material characteristics, analysis, and lab-testing.
- Experience in product launching and project management.
- Fluent Spanish and English required (B2+ minimum).
- Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
