Quality Assurance Specialist
We are in search of a Quality Assurance/Automation Specialist with 2-4 years of expertise, who will design and implement an automated testing framework for our offerings utilizing Java and Angular/AngularJS technologies. This automation specialist will collaborate closely with a team of software developers and business analysts to evaluate requirements, formulate test plans and test cases, and assist in automating them within an Agile/Scrum framework.
The QA Test Specialist advocates for the adoption of test automation throughout the testing team and our global organization, assisting in educating management and stakeholders on the advantages of automated testing. The position is hands-on, encompassing the design and coding of test scripts and the automation framework.

Role Overview:

In this position as Quality Assurance Specialist, you will:

Responsibilities :

• Provide testing solutions for a single product and/or engage in complex projects

• May oversee straightforward projects that are not complex in nature

• Operate with a moderate level of guidance and direction

Collaboration:

• Immediate project or QA/Software Development Engineer team

• Interact with cross-functional teams to execute

Quality Delivery:

• Identify, report, and monitor defects

• Execute activities according to quality standards

• Provide testing solutions for a single product and/or engage in complex projects

• Demonstrated ability to function within an agile environment

• Actively and collaboratively participate in meetings, processes, and agile ceremonies with cross-functional teams

• Ensure that risks are recognized

Business Insight:

• Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with key stakeholders

• Comprehend the markets we serve, our products, and customers

• Knowledge of business rules related to the company's offerings

• Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into test cases

• Capable of understanding customer scenarios and converting them into manual and/or automated test scripts

Leadership Qualities :

• Understands product strategy & objectives. Aligns QA Engineering efforts accordingly.

• Addresses routine objections and concerns with limited support; recognizes when escalation is necessary

• Creates mechanisms to ensure all voices are heard within the project team; commits to team decisions once made.

• Identifies opportunities for business and process improvement

• Communicates information clearly and effectively via all mediums to all audiences

• Learns and adapts; recovers from setbacks.

Candidate Profile

You are a suitable candidate for the role of Quality Assurance Specialist if your background includes:


• Developing professional QA expertise

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred or equivalent experience

• 1-2+ years of software QA testing experience

• Test automation engineering experience with tools such as Selenium, Postman, Protractor, and JMeter

• Experience testing Web Applications across various browsers and devices using automated testing tools

• Experience in testing data persistence systems utilizing both SQL and NoSQL DBMS. [MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Dynamo]

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or AzureDevOps

• Experience with technologies such as Angular, Application Performance Management, Kibana, PowerBI, Tableau or Quicksight, AWS Cloud development experience is a plus, data Science: Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence

• Experience in developing both front-end and back-end automation tests

• Understanding of security best practices for web development

• Knowledge of agile methodologies
