About the Position

We are currently seeking an experienced Regulation & Standardization Expert to join our Advanced Safety & User Experience segment in our Monterrey, Mexico location. The successful candidate will be part of the System, Product, and Vehicle Architecture group and will represent Aptiv globally in relevant US institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and monitor the North America Regulations & Standards ecosystem.
  • Actively support strategic R&S organizations, including MEMA, ASC, AutoInnovators, ISO, SAE, NHTSA, NCAP, and Consumer associations.
  • Provide informed opinions and reports on R&S trends.
  • Coordinate Aptiv efforts to prepare and drive regulations & standards submissions.
  • Drive AS&Ux knowledge on R&S (roadmaps, reporting, training).
  • Foster obtaining and providing interpretive assistance of applicable regulations and international standards.
  • Deal with different product lines: ADAS / ADS, body, cockpit. Competencies: safety, cybersecurity, AI / ML, OTA, EMC / RF.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree with strong experience in the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of worldwide and/or North America Regulations and Standards ecosystem.
  • Ability to communicate internally and externally as well as create and maintain a sustainable network.
  • Ability to listen, learn, analyze, negotiate, and influence decision-makers.
  • Analytical mind and clear reporting.
  • Team spirit and high motivation degree.
  • Ability to prioritize based on corporate guidelines and strive to drive projects to success.
  • Fluent in English.
