Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of public and employee areas, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and contributing to the overall success of our hotel.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain public and employee restrooms and showers, including restocking supplies and ensuring proper functioning of fixtures and equipment.
  • Clean glass surfaces in public and employee areas, including windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
  • Clean floor surfaces in public or employee space using designated chemicals, supplies, and equipment, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
  • Dust surfaces in assigned area, including furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Empty trash containers, ashtrays, and ash urns in public areas into proper containers, ensuring a clean and odor-free environment.
  • Inspect condition of furniture for tears, rips, and stains and report damages to management.
  • Clean and maintain lights, including replacing bulbs and ensuring proper functioning of lighting fixtures.
  • Post caution signs to limit traffic when necessary, ensuring a safe and secure environment for guests and employees.
  • Contact other departments directly for urgent repairs, ensuring prompt resolution of issues.
  • Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
Requirements
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
  • Complete safety training and certifications, ensuring a safe and secure work environment.
  • Properly store flammable materials, ensuring a safe and secure work environment.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintaining a positive image of the hotel.
