Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operational Procurement Specialist to join our team at the Knorr Bremse Group. As an Operational Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing assigned categories to meet daily tactical objectives and strategy execution to satisfy the needs of our internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure prices are accurate and up to date in the system at all times.
- Assist in invoicing and payment issues, ensuring timely resolution of payment and pricing discrepancies and taking corrective action to prevent recurrence.
- Assist Strategic Sourcing Buyers with day-to-day execution of projects and responsibilities.
- Support the plants with expediting open purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of all commodities.
- Assist in maintaining data integrity in all purchasing files.
- Prepare and manage Requests for Quotation (RFQ) process.
- Analyze quotations - assist in obtaining capital appropriations and issuing purchase orders.
- Support global change management process to ensure timelines are met.
Requirements:
- Familiar with and applies concepts, practices, and procedures of supply base management methodologies.
- Understands concepts of production control, material planning, and MRP.
- General knowledge of acquisition regulations.
- Possesses basic knowledge regarding the legal requirements associated with purchasing goods and services both domestic and international.
- Familiar with product/markets and processes.
- General understanding of business marketing and sales needs and have the ability/vision to combine and implement into the supply chain.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of previous experience as a Data Analyst, Accounts Payable, Buyer within a manufacturing-based industry.
- Prior experience in global purchasing organization with usage of SAP.
- Must have demonstrated experience and ability to gain proven results.
