Job Summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Planner II to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for planning and procuring materials, supplies, and equipment needed to support our master production schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify reliable sources of supply and alternative materials to meet quality specifications and optimize inventory levels.
  • Process purchase requisitions for materials and supplies, and follow up on back orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Plan and coordinate the manufacture of products through our production facility, ensuring adherence to assembly procedures and standard times.
  • Manage purchasing and planning documents, updating SAP data as needed, and resolving PO discrepancies with vendors and accounting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices and terms to reduce costs and improve quality.
  • Conduct analyses to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions, and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in purchasing, planning, or a related field.
  • APICS certification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SAP or similar ERP systems.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
