Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at The Westin Guadalajara. As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our guest rooms and public areas.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to guest requests and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Restock and maintain housekeeping carts with supplies and linens.
  • Enter guest rooms in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all areas are clean and tidy.
  • Replace guest amenities and supplies, including linens, towels, and toiletries.
  • Make beds and fold linens to a high standard.
  • Clean bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, and bathtubs.
  • Remove trash and recyclables from guest rooms and public areas.
  • Check that all appliances and equipment are in good working order.
  • Straighten and arrange furniture, fixtures, and equipment in guest rooms and public areas.
  • Dust and polish surfaces, including furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Vacuum and clean floors, including carpets, rugs, and hard surfaces.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • No prior experience is required, but a willingness to learn and take direction is essential.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods across an entire work shift.
  • Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
