The Regulatory Manager is responsible for leading the Mexico Flavors and Food Colors Regulatory Compliance functions, coordinating regulatory compliance standards and activities to support the Latin America business units. This position requires in-depth knowledge of compliance protocols and procedures to ensure continuous compliance with global legislation and regulations governing flavors and colors ingredients.

This position is office-based in either Tlalnepantla or Lerma. As a Regulatory Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Understanding, interpreting, and applying current regulations as applicable to Flavors, Colors & Pharma operations worldwide.
  • Publishing and presenting interpretations and findings from regulatory meetings and literature in a manner that drives the Group to the forefront of regulatory compliance.
  • Developing protocols to ensure knowledge transfer throughout all Regulatory staff.
  • Providing a broad industry awareness to all senior-level management across Businesses.
  • Maintaining processes for accurate and timely delivery of regulatory information to support the development of finished product technical data sheets, including labeling information, allergen data, and nutritional data sheets.
  • Developing and maintaining processes to provide customers with certifications concerning product labeling/compliance requirements, religious claims, and naturalness of products.
  • Developing and improving Regulatory processes and systems, ensuring timely and accurate Departmental response to Company and/or Customer regulatory requests.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field, with relevant years of experience in food-related regulations and compliance, together with some years in a team leadership and supervisory capacity. Additionally, the candidate should have knowledge of computer programming and data handling, business acumen, a sense of urgency, and the ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
