Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will be responsible for directing production activities for multiple manufacturing lines to deliver products that meet quality specifications and achieve or exceed service levels and cost targets. This role will ensure employees are safe and follow required procedures, complying with applicable regulations and company policies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Review production schedules and coordinate manufacturing resources to ensure timely delivery of products and components, while ensuring compliance with Quality System requirements.

• Interact and collaborate with other departments to solve any restrictions that may stop or slow down production, including material, personnel, equipment, and process issues.

• Plan budget and control expenses applicable to production area to comply or exceed Business Unit financial targets.

• Identify and coordinate cost reduction projects including labor productivity, land use, inventory optimization, and defects reduction, using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.

• Coordinate research and implementation of preventive and corrective actions that may result from production non-conformances, audit observations, CAPA, and others.

• Ensure compliance with QSR, ISO, and Environment, HS requirements, as well as all applicable company procedures and policies.

• Provide timely and effective support for new product introductions and existing process transfers to Business Unit.

• Develop and maintain department metrics to monitor performance and coordinate actions to ensure improvements.

• Manage employee development and maintains updated and verified training records.

• Recognize and reward performance and teamwork.

• Identify, support, and solve labor issues in coordination with the Human Resources Department.

• Responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level.

• Responsible for ensuring subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety, and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition.

• Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

Experience and Education:

• BS in Engineering or Business Administration.

• Master's Degree is desirable.

• Green Belt/Black Belt Certification, Lean Manufacturing Certification, Six Sigma is desirable.

• Minimal 9 years of experience and training within the Medical industry preferably.

• More than 5 years of experience and/or training in similar positions preferably.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Certifications/Licenses and Affiliations:

• Knowledge of the requirements of Quality Systems such as ISO and QSR.

• Ability to identify Improvement opportunities and implement World Class Manufacturing practices such as JJPS including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ME2 concepts.

• Excellent written and oral English and Spanish communication skills for different organizational levels.

• Knowledge for Operations Management, including resources, capacity planning, and Project Management.

• Knowledge of Financial concepts applied to Manufacturing, including budgets and cost control.

• Excellent leadership skills.

• Teamwork and collaboration skills.
