Key Responsibilities- Design and Develop Android Applications: Develop Android client code solutions that deliver on Product Strategy and adhere to established engineering best practices, design guidelines, and principles.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with Software Engineers, UX/UI, Quality Engineers, Product Owners/Analysts to deliver high-performing quality customer experiences that are engaging, purposeful, and powerful in their simplicity.
- Participate in Agile Ceremonies: Actively participate in all team agile ceremonies, contributing to ensure that all team commitments are delivered on time and of the highest quality.
- Advocate for the Mobile Platform: Be an active advocate of the mobile platform through both internal and external developer communities.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Mobile Technologies: Remain an active learner in all technologies related to mobile development (Kotlin, Swift, 3rd party libraries, etc.).
- Mentor and Lead: Mentor junior to mid-level members of the team and own and lead delivery of major components and platform needs in partnership with Senior Engineers and Architects.
- Improve Processes and Share Best Practices: Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across sprint teams.
- Identify and Solve Technical Obstacles: Identify technical obstacles early and work closely with the team to find creative solutions.
- Review Code and Ensure Adherence to Guidelines: Review pull requests and ensure adherence to Kotlin and other language idioms.
- Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Intermediate-Advanced English Fluency: Intermediate-advanced English fluency.
- Professional Software Engineering Experience: At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Android Application Development Experience: At least 2 years of experience building Android applications.
- Kotlin Experience: At least 2 years of experience with Kotlin.
- 3+ Years of Android Application Development Experience: 3+ years of experience building Android applications.
- 3+ Years of Kotlin Experience: 3+ years of experience with Kotlin.
- Open Source Frameworks Experience: 1+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
- Agile Practices Experience: 1+ years of experience with Agile practices.
