Strategic Purchaser

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Purchaser to join our team at Cardinal Health, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relations, negotiating product costs, and optimizing supply chain processes.

• Supplier Management
  • Review requirements and place orders within appropriate time frames.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products, materials, and supplies.
  • Assess, determine, and communicate resolution of supplier problems related to service level and inventory issues.
• Supply Chain Optimization
  • Analyze and develop recommendations for contract terms and business requirements.
  • Manage purchasing activities to provide deliverables within stated performance and quality parameters.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements to service, inventory, and quality.
• Communication
  • Respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal customers and external partners.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of purchasing concepts and principles, including best practices.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience with sourcing ideas and identifying/protecting intellectual property.
• Superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Excellent skills in MS Excel and MS Access.
• Experience managing MRP systems is preferred.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000, depending on location and experience.
