Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Head of Commercial Contracting to lead our Contract Risk Management team in Latin America, responsible for managing a high-performing CRM service for Spanish-speaking countries in the region.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and freight forwarding, with a deep understanding of contract terms and conditions in transportation, forwarding, and supply chain/contract logistics agreements.
You will be responsible for conducting reviews of global Master Service Agreements, frame agreements, and bespoke customer contracts, providing expert advice on insurable risk and collaborating with colleagues to achieve business objectives and maintain 'best in class' standards.
In addition, you will contribute to strategic initiatives driving improvements and future directions of the CRM service in the Americas, enhancing operating division success.
You will work closely with Business Development, commercial stakeholders, and cross-functional teams on multi-business unit contract documents, delivering comprehensive risk guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Streamline contract risk engagement and delivery processes by improving analytical tools and aligning with global stakeholders.
- Collaborate with local, regional, and global Claims teams on MSAs and bespoke customer contracts.
- Oversee non-customer-facing CRM matters, including procurement contracts, IT contracts, lease contracts, and other vendor contracts.
- Participate in Project Review Boards, Tender Review Boards, and similar decision-making bodies covering CRM issues.
- Support the VP in monthly management reporting of CRM activities.
- Develop operative cost budgets and SLAs for services provided in Latam countries, managing established budgets.
- Manage contract risk inquiries, identifying complex, time-critical, and standard contracts, and prioritize responsibility accordingly.
- Ensure that risks associated with customer agreements are identified, propose changes to contractual liability, indemnity, and insurance terms, and address uninsurable risks as needed.
