At Bombardier, we foster a collaborative environment where innovative ideas thrive. As a Liaison Engineering Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in resolving fit, form, or functional issues on Aircraft components and repairs required during the manufacture of Bombardier Aerospace products.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Identify and resolve problems with aircraft structure and/or systems, documenting necessary information to overcome issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with Engineering specialists, including Systems Liaison, Design, Stress, Materials Technology, Aerodynamics, Performance, and others to problem-solve and address reported issues.
- Work closely with Production, Design Engineering, Procurement & Quality to coordinate resolutions and provide corrective actions involving Engineering.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, providing guidance to junior employees.
- Provide status updates and stay current on manufacturing changes and problems.
- Lead technical support to Operations, Methods, and Quality.
- Coach non-MRB team members and other non-specialized MRBs.
- Develop processes and initiatives to improve efficiency.
- Support internal and external clients' requirements.
- Anticipate and address client needs.
- Take action to address commercial issues with external partners.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of MRB experience or 7-10 years of design experience in Aerospace.
- Excellent knowledge of aircraft structure and system installation technical requirements.
- Electrical and Systems experience is considered an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a high sense of commitment and ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment.
- Previous experience as a Mentor and Coach in the Liaison Team environment and problem-solving teams.
- Proficiency in browsing Engineering mockups in CATIA V5.
- Flexibility and comfort working autonomously under pressure.
- Recognized for sound technical judgment and practical approach.
