Electrical Design Engineer Job Description

Schneider Electric is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in our ROJO GOMEZ Plant. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical control systems for our distributed power and control system equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply protection, monitoring, metering, and control solutions in distributed power and control system equipment.
  • Create accurate electrical control diagrams from customer-supplied documentation and system-generated drawings.
  • Utilize knowledge of design concepts, applicable codes, and standards, and applied engineering.
  • Review available technical documentation of the order and clarify with contract manager any open questions regarding technical specification.
  • Effectively utilize order processing tools and ECAD platforms.
Requirements:
  • Sr Designer - Technical degree in related field or an advanced level of technical experience in related field with 2-4 years of experience directly within the assigned product line.
  • Engineer - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or technical degree within related field with 2-4 years of project engineering experience directly within the assigned product line.
  • Favorable annual performance reviews and meets the competency level and skill level requirement for the job code.
  • Translates ETO customer requirements into customized solutions for medium-high complexity projects for assigned product line.
  • Serves as an account owner for at least one key account, segment, or a specific application.
  • Intermediate English level.
