Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with DTO Intelligent Automation leadership to develop site-specific roadmaps, leveraging digital solutions, machine learning, and common technical solutions.
- Design and implement process optimization strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle time, and improve product quality, working closely with manufacturing site teams.
- Conduct detailed analysis and evaluation of existing manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement and recommending technological solutions.
- Develop process concepts, project charters, and business justifications, as well as risk analysis, feasibility studies, and automation validation.
- Manage external contractors and vendors for process development and technology transfer projects, ensuring timely and transparent alignment of strategies and goals.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve process-related issues, improve overall equipment effectiveness, and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain strong relationships with counterparts in Manufacturing/Operations, business units, Global Integrated Engineering, BD Excellence, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance.
- Develop and implement playbooks for the implementation and replication of intelligent automation technology solutions, collaborating with DTO team members and other required functions.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing/Process Engineering, Computer Engineering/Software Systems, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible engineering experience in manufacturing engineering, automation design and development, technology transfer, and process optimization.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Intelligent Automation solutions and digital transformations, including machine learning, vision, and controls engineering.
- Strong knowledge of process optimization techniques, lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical analysis.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex process issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling the ability to influence decisions based on sound rationale.
Travel: 25% to 30% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications- MS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing/Process Engineering, Computer Engineering/Software Systems, or equivalent.
- Project Management Training and/or Certification.
- Industry 4.0 Training and/or Certification.
- Proficient in process analysis, process modeling, and simulation software, as well as statistical analysis.
- Experience with process improvement tools and methodologies, such as Kaizen, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping.
- Knowledge of automation and control systems, such as SCADA and PLC.
