Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Planner to join our Supply Chain team at Alstom. As a Material Planner, you will be responsible for defining and controlling adequate inventory levels of materials to meet production and operations requirements while minimizing cash immobilization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate ABC Classification to optimize inventory management
  • Manage supplier portfolios to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Organize regular reviews with suppliers to monitor delivery performances
  • Analyze and share delivery performance KPIs with stakeholders
  • Manage material availability and scheduling activities
  • Define and control buy material master data
  • Manage excess stock and inventory levels
  • Collaborate with procurement team to ensure contractual agreements are reflected in the ERP system
  • Manage and follow up on purchase requests
  • Ensure non-conformities replacement through NCR process
Requirements
  • College degree in business, industrial engineering, or similar
  • Fluent English and Spanish language skills
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Experience with ERP SAP
  • Lean Six Sigma knowledge desirable
