Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at The Westin Guadalajara. As a key member of our Housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and quality in our guest rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet our quality standards
  • Run sold room reports and verify room status to identify any discrepancies
  • Prioritize room cleaning and update the status of departing guest rooms
  • Assist Housekeeping management in managing daily activities and coordinating with other departments
  • Document and resolve any issues with discrepant rooms
  • Prepare and distribute changes in room assignments and communicate with the next shift
  • Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate records

Leadership and Team Management

  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and ensure a culture of teamwork and collaboration

Guest Services

  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to our company standards
  • Anticipate and address guests' service needs and provide exceptional customer service

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in housekeeping or a related field
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 55 pounds
  • Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery
  • Ability to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems
