Job Title: Trade Compliance Analyst

Eaton's VEH NAT North America Truck division is seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst to ensure effective management of Annex 24 & 31 of the Maquila program, avoiding Customs and Fiscal risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure data integrity of Trade Compliance processes, including inventory reconciliation, shipping, receiving, and invoicing reports.
  • Fixed Asset reconciliation finance master file against Annex 24 inventory control.
  • Upload reports and documentation related to Annex 24 & 31 in the VAT webpage OneSource.
  • Ensure timely adjustments in Annex 24 by Customs Operations.
  • Comply with recordkeeping requirements of operations performed.
  • Support full compliance with New Customs Regulations, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Classifications USA/Mexico, Free trade agreements, etc.
  • Monitor import/export of raw materials, finished goods, equipment, scrap, non-productive material, excess and obsolete (E&O) operation on a monthly basis.
  • Develop strategic plans to avoid customs risk or improve the Import-Export & Trade compliance process.
  • Record Keeping of Operations & Legal trade documents.
  • Support internal & external customs audits, i.e. SAT, CBP, Peer Reviews, Customs firms, Quality Systems, etc.
  • Comply with Eaton Training program.
  • Support all Eaton Certifications as: OEA, CTPAT, MESH, Industria Limpia, etc.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualification in foreign trade or related discipline.
  • 2 years in Foreign Trade Inventory Control or in a manufacturing environment, automotive preferred.
  • Knowledge in Customs procedures and compliance.
  • Effective Communication Skills.
  • Working Knowledge of MRP/ERP system as a plus.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office (Excel audit formulas).
  • NAFTA, C-TPAT, Economic Authorized Operator.
  • Mexican programs to reduce duties as PROSEC, Rule 8va.
  • HTS Classification technical skills.
  • US Customs regulations.
