Overview: The LATAM Operations Compliance team is seeking a dedicated Program Manager to oversee and implement compliance projects related to hazardous materials storage and operations.

Role Responsibilities: The selected Program Manager will ensure that hazardous goods adhere to both local and international regulatory standards. This role involves strategic collaboration with internal stakeholders to facilitate business growth, while developing and refining operational processes to enhance efficiency.

The ideal candidate will actively seek opportunities to optimize existing workflows through benchmarking and the adoption of best practices, engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders and departments.

Key Skills: The candidate must thrive in a dynamic environment, adeptly managing projects and delving into operational details. An ability to adapt to changing project scopes, propose effective solutions, and drive processes across Amazon's expanding network is essential.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Innovating and simplifying processes to scale team resources effectively.
  • Collaborating with various internal teams, including Fulfillment Technology, Transportation, and Legal, to enhance compliance measures.
  • Exhibiting sound judgment in decision-making and continuously improving knowledge of Amazon's operations and technologies.
  • Working with senior leadership across multiple organizations to align on compliance processes and controls.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, operations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in program management, particularly in regulated industries.
  • 5+ years of project management experience with a focus on process improvement.
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and compliance.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (MBA, Ph.D.) or relevant certifications in hazardous materials compliance.
  • Experience with regulations from various regions, including Mexico and Latin America.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience in e-commerce or fast-paced technology environments.
