**Job Summary**

This position requires an advanced knowledge of customs regulations and procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in classifying goods according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedules (HTS) and participating in government agencies clearances (PGA), Code of Regulations, and Customs regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Prepare customs entries and forward freight to designated locations, including interface with international and domestic carriers, overseas offices, and importers.

• Prepare customs entries and follow up with the clearance process on all entries prepared.

• Communicate documentation discrepancies to clients and supervisors.

• Coordinate freight delivery to designated locations.

• Resolve finance and accounting reconciliation exchange issues.

• Scan entries into the imaging system, meeting allotted and sensitive time requirements.

• Prepare reports/presentations and analysis using various software packages and databases.

• Follow up on documentation discrepancy issues, requiring the ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with customers and foreign origins.

• Establish and maintain client relationships.

• Work a weekend schedule on a department rotation basis and holiday schedule based on the needs of the operation and account requirements.

**Requirements**

• High school diploma, GED, or International equivalent.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience working for a Customs Broker.

• Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws and regulations, and other government departments.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Customs Broker License - Preferred.

• Accurate and rapid data entry.

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
