The Lead Engineer, Manufacturing Process Optimization is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying processes to achieve quality, cost, and delivery goals for Celestica and its customers' products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new manufacturing processes to support customer products.
  • Develop application software and tooling for complex machines and mechanical process steps within a manufacturing sector.
  • Implement plans and lead assessments of machine and process capabilities using Design of Experiments and statistical methods.
  • Lead disciplined processes for solving complex product, process, component, and related problems affecting efficient operation and/or manufacture of products.
  • Initiate and lead assessments and provide feedback to product designers on suitability of designs for manufacturability.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of related experience; experience in similar job roles.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Conditions

  • Duties are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • Repetitive manual movements are frequently required.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
