Key Responsibilities- Design and implement chaos engineering experiments to identify and mitigate potential failures in our cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain high-availability applications, including redundancy, failover, scalability, monitoring, and performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to apply a software engineering mindset to system administration topics.
- Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure engineers receive timely notifications of issues.
- Troubleshoot systems and network issues, working closely with our Technical Operations Team.
- Mentor junior engineers in reliability-related skills and contribute to the evolution of our SDLC, practices, and tooling.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in software development.
- Proficiency in coding languages such as C# or Java, as well as scripting languages like Shell, Python, Perl, or Ruby.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, networking, and virtualization.
- Knowledge of service-oriented or microservice architectures, load balancing, storage, and clustering technologies.
- Hands-on experience with orchestration and system configuration tools like Salt, Ansible, Fabric, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform.
