Senior Accountant Job Description

Compassion International, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining the organization's general ledger, providing financial guidance to internal clients, and contributing to the preparation of financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the organization's general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Provide financial guidance and advice to internal clients, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address financial risks and opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal clients and stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in financial accounting, financial analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
