Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team in Mexico. As a key member of our Controllership Group, you will be responsible for supporting business functions in the Andean Region, including Marketing, VCA, Product Solutions, Sales, and other functional areas. Your primary focus will be on managing high P&L impact projects, such as Value-in-Kind, Prepayments, Sponsorship deals, and other related initiatives to drive Visa revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a strong knowledge of Visa's Key Policies and Procedures.
  • Support Client and Vendor transactions for key business functions following Controllership Operations Model.
  • Ensure High Risk projects and transactions meet established compliance requirements and approvals.
  • Participate on Global and Regional workstreams related to standardization and process optimization.
  • Provide oversight to Regional Controllership and Country Management on non-compliance issues.
  • Ensure timely self-reporting of incidents and non-compliance actions.
  • Demonstrate good judgement in determining when to escalate to Management or Controller on non-compliance issues and deviations.
  • Coordinate remediation of issues and compliance related matters promptly to avoid recurrent deviations.
  • Support Internal Audit Engagements and Continuous Monitoring reviews.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD).
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
    • 5 years of experience in a reporting (GAAP 606), audit, or risk related role focused on operational controls.
    • Good problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to identify and resolve issues and risks, including root cause analysis.
    • Ability to anticipate and identify opportunities to establish standards and controls, as well as develop and recommend solutions.
    • Self-starter, must be able to execute work with minimal direct supervision.
    • Bilingual Spanish/English (both written and verbal) required. Portuguese is a plus.
    • Proficient in Excel and macros, Advanced skills in MS Office.
