About This Opportunity

We're looking for a seasoned Narrative Designer to join our team and take on a pivotal design role in the development of our next-generation game. As a key partner to the Game Director, you will shape the creative vision, guide the team's major narrative and creative decisions, and mentor and nurture the growth of a talented team of game designers.

Key Responsibilities
  • World and IP Development: Develop the world, IP, and design vision from prototyping through production and launch, working closely with the Game Director.
  • Narrative System Design: Design and implement narrative systems that support the core offerings of the product and drive towards our key demographics.
  • Design Decision-Making: Drive discussion and alignment on the team as the game navigates complex and ambiguous design challenges, ensuring that creative decisions are well-connected to product goals and player motivations.
Requirements
  • Creative Expertise: Strong narrative design principles, storytelling skills, and worldbuilding, coupled with a holistic view of game systems and their downstream effects.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to partner with designers and product managers, and cross-functional groups including engineering, art, and production, while mentoring and elevating the people around you.
  • Communication Skills: Well-structured communication style that allows for clear and effective articulation of design ideas and concepts, particularly in abstract concepts and their application to complex systems.
