The Role
We're seeking an experienced IT Auditor with expertise in cybersecurity risk management to join our Internal Audit team in Mexico. As an Internal Auditor, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the technological infrastructure and systems supporting our internal processes and operations are secure, efficient, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and implement IT and cybersecurity audit procedures and methodologies to review our technology landscape.
- Define the scope of reviews and the Internal Audit Plan for IT and cybersecurity.
- Analyze the alignment of IT plans, infrastructure, and systems with business objectives, identifying potential risks and controls.
- Conduct comprehensive audits, including risk analysis, testing, and data analysis, based on regulatory requirements, best practices, and Global Internal Audit policies.
- Plan and execute periodic Internal Audit reviews, adhering to the Internal Audit Plan and regulatory requirements.
- Identify root causes of issues, regulatory gaps, and areas for improvement within IT infrastructure, management, security, and third-party IT services.
- Present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders, including the Lead Internal Auditor in Mexico, Local Internal Audit Committee, and the global team.
- Review audit results and coordinate management actions.
- Ensure follow-up on corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in information technology, computer systems, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience as an IT auditor, IT consultant, or IT supervisor assessing technology, cybersecurity, and operational risks and controls.
- Experience in data privacy and IT control assessments.
- Relevant experience in financial services, such as a bank, fintech, or technology-oriented financial institution.
- Familiarity with leading technology standards, including COBIT, ITIL, and ISO.
- Knowledge of the IT regulatory framework for financial institutions.
- Fluency in English with excellent communication skills.
- A logical, analytical mind with expertise in data analysis.
- Open to a hybrid work style, requiring occasional office visits.
Salary Estimate
We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for growth and development within the company.
