Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Analyst to join our team in Mexico City, Mexico. As a key member of our Tax team, you will be responsible for providing tax compliance support for Latin America, ensuring timely and accurate tax filings, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with ongoing compliance requirements related to direct, indirect, and digital service taxation in the LATAM region, including Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and Peru.
  • Perform month-end and quarter-end close activities, such as preparing journal entries, tax account reconciliations, and related tasks.
  • Gather information and prepare reports to meet ongoing tax compliance obligations, manage filing deadlines with internal stakeholders and external advisors, and drive filing processes to ensure on-time tax payments.
  • Perform tax compliance controls related to electronic invoicing, such as reconciling and validating invoices in our ERP.
  • Monitor online tax mailboxes for messages from tax authorities, investigate discrepancies, and manage invoice cancellation / other routine requests.
  • Prepare and file recurring VAT refund requests in countries across the region.
  • Assist with automation projects to improve processes and achieve efficiencies.
  • Provide support during tax audits.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Mexican tax compliance; experience in tax compliance in other LATAM countries is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to cultivate positive relationships and rapport with other teams/departments.
  • Open to feedback and highly motivated to improve current skill set in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work proactively, independently, and accurately to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
