About the Role

We are searching for a Strategic Design Consultant who will work closely with the client business and account leadership teams to align transformation programs with underlying technical solutions to business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project reporting, project planning, issue/risk identification and tracking, scope management, estimation, client management, relationship management
  • Other project documentation preparation for this project of medium to high business complexity (involving multiple systems interfaces that are highly visible to the organization)
  • Works with stakeholders at every level of the organization soliciting strategic imperatives from senior leaders and executives; supporting business unit managers as they leverage business architecture and product development artifacts to create and implement client business plans
  • Provide direct input into the governance cycle that supports the achievement of key goals, planning, and execution of various scenarios, and delivery of bottom-line value for the business
  • Help client business and leadership team with problem definition
  • Collaborate and contribute to business and technology consulting projects to deliver client objectives
  • Perform assessments of client business processes, organizational change, IT processes, and technology landscape, identifying transformational recommendations
  • Develop a business and technical architecture strategy based on situational awareness of various business scenarios and motivations
  • Capture the tactical and strategic enterprise goals that provide traceability through the organization and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance
  • Describe the primary business functions of the enterprise and distinguish between customer-facing, supplier-related, business execution, and business management functions
  • Define the set of strategic, core, and support processes that transcend functional and organizational boundaries; identify and describe external entities such as customers, suppliers, and external systems that interact with the business; and describe which people, resources, and controls are involved in the processes
  • Define the data shared across the enterprise and the relationships between the data
  • Capture the relationships among roles, capabilities, and business units, the decomposition of those business units into subunits, and the internal or external management of those units
  • Project plan preparation from high level to technical details level, plan and estimate milestones/activities (effort/duration), and identify role/skills set per activity

Requirements

  • Management of multiple concurrent priorities skills
  • Effective communications skills
  • Risk management skills
  • Infrastructure projects management experience (DR, obsolescence, hardening, Security, monitoring)
  • Software projects management experience is a plus (to understand SLDC and products lifecycle)
  • Exceptional ability to communicate technical decisions/issues to different stakeholders
  • Strong organization skills (document, log, and track actions, and issues...)
  • Technical background is a plus (system engineer, IT operations,)
  • Experience working in a company based on an ITIL environment (Change management, incident management, service management...)
