Order Taker

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Order Taker to join our team in In-Room Dining. As an Order Taker, you will be responsible for taking room service orders over the phone, answering questions on menu selections, and checking with kitchen staff.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Take room service orders over the phone and answer questions on menu selections
• Check with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order fulfillment
• Answer guest questions or concerns regarding menu items
• Place and log call backs for room service orders
• Notify guests and management of delays in service delivery
• Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day
• Record transactions in the MICROS system at time of order
• Complete all closing reports, including MICROS reports
• Process all payment methods

**Requirements**

• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
• Complete safety training and certifications
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
• Protect company assets
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
• Anticipate and address guests' service needs
• Assist individuals with disabilities
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation
• Speak with others using clear and professional language
• Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
• Support team to reach common goals
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
