A Day in the Life

We're seeking a highly skilled Electromechanical Engineering Expert to join our team. In this role, you'll design and execute experiments to optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring the highest quality products for our customers.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Designing manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling.
  • Designing the arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure the most efficient and productive layout.
  • Designing the sequence of operations and specifying procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
  • Adapting machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
  • Inspecting the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency and investigating and initiating corrective action for problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
  • Developing manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
  • Providing guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensuring processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

TECHNICAL SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM: As a Manufacturing Process Specialist, you'll be an individual contributor with responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology and therapies. You'll formulate, deliver, and/or manage projects assigned and work with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. You may act as a mentor to colleagues or direct the work of other lower-level professionals.

You'll make adjustments or recommend enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve the effectiveness of your job area.

Communication and Influence: You'll communicate primarily and frequently with internal contacts. External interactions are less complex or problem-solving in nature. You'll contact others to share information, status, needs, and issues to inform, gain input, and support decision-making.

Leadership and Talent Management: You may provide guidance and assistance to entry-level professionals and/or employees in the Support Career Stream.

Required Knowledge and Experience: You'll require practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within your job area, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. You'll require a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. - 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A)) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 0 years of experience.

Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electromechanical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering or Similar
  • Experience minimum of 3-5 years in the medical industry and similar position
  • Experience in Manufacturing Processes and in Validation Processes.
  • Experience in Molding Processes
  • Experience in OEE and Maximo
  • Design and execute experiments (DOE) to optimize process.
  • Advanced level of English
  • Knowledge in PM, Lean, SSGB, ISO 13485, ASQ
  • Knowledge in engineering changes (Agile preferred), Statistics, Product Costing, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma
  • Experience in cost reduction and capital management
