We are seeking a highly skilled Quality and Reliability Engineer to join our team at Te Connectivity. As a key member of our Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams, you will be responsible for analyzing the ability of products and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Design, recommend revisions, and install quality control systems to ensure compliance with customer and contractual requirements.
- Develop and document analytical methods for establishing the reliability of products and their components.
- Conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment.
- Develop, implement, and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance.
- Implement and manage technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product, and processes.
- Optimize material and labor, and conduct failure analysis, root cause, corrective action, and customer communication.
- Engineering degree.
- +3 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, statistics, control plans.
- Experience as Quality Engineer in IATF 16949 automotive environment.
- Experience using customer portals.
- Experience in an automotive regulated environment (Tier 1 and OEM).
- Advance English (written and spoken).
- Master molding certified / Certified Quality Engineer.
- Problem Solving methodologies.
- Working Knowledge of SPC, Capability Analysis, Gage R&R.
- Demonstrated ability and skills to support quality engineering development activities, continuous improvement initiatives, and quality management tools.
- Demonstrated self-starter and able to work independently to execute strategies and meet goals.
- Hands on experience with tools of IATF 16949 especially Core tools, Root Cause Analysis.
- Experience with solidwork, autocad or other design software strongly desirable.
- Must be able to understand and interpret blueprints.
- GD&T is a plus.
- Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office tools and other software products.
- Travel within US, Mexico, and other international locations as required.
- Experience in Human Resources management is a plus.
- Knowledge applicable to the position in IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.
