Job Title: Senior Software Developer - Legacy/Azure

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team at UST Global. As a Senior Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining premier software applications while working with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Quality Test Automation Engineers, fellow Software Engineers, and Development DBA to understand and transform business requirements into business-savvy features.
  • Solve problems, debug, and optimize code to ensure optimum performance and security.
  • Determine optimal solutions for architecture, efficiency, maintainability, and scalability in cooperation with developers and architects.
  • Team up with QA to review, approve, and design against test cases to ensure our demanding customers' expectations are fulfilled.
  • Manage code internal quality and ensure appropriate unit test coverage.
  • Perform code reviews for team deliverables to ensure code follows documented standards and best practices.
  • Perform full life cycle application development, including researching available technical options for features, providing guidance and feedback on the findings, and building proof of concepts to confirm the best approach.
  • Collaborate with Principal Engineers to create solution designs, following Architectural guidance and design.
  • Work with the team to update existing code while adding new technology and solutions into products.
  • Mentor junior developers.
  • Ensure team solutions utilize the prescribed software delivery pipeline.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, and 5+ years of .NET software development experience building web-based applications, or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, and 5+ years of .NET software development experience.
  • Experience in upgrading Legacy Applications into a Scalable Azure Application while maintaining backward compatibility.
  • Microsoft development stack: .NET Core, .NET Framework 4.8+, C#, JavaScript, RESTful and SOAP services, T-SQL, JSON, MVC, XML, HTML, and CSS.
  • Azure Experience: Familiarity with Azure Services, especially with Azure Serverless (WebApps, Functions, Logic Apps), Monitoring, and Service Bus.
  • Exercising sound coding practices, such as unit testing, object-oriented programming, and patterns.
  • Using Advanced SQL, including stored procedures, indexes, CTE's, and functions.
