Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician IV to join our team at Jabil Circuit. As a key member of our Microbiology Laboratory, you will be responsible for providing general laboratory support and routine testing in accordance with established laboratory test methods and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine Environmental Monitoring sampling, including viable/non-viable air and surface sampling, related to the Controlled manufacturing Environment.
- Prepare and analyze samples using applicable test methods.
- Capture and record data in electronic systems and laboratory manuals.
- Execute and monitor routine and special tests using laboratory instruments.
- Recognize and address problems during analysis and testing.
- Initiate and participate in investigations for non-conforming laboratory tests and/or environmental excursions.
- Verify calibration of laboratory instruments and ensure equipment and materials are used within current calibration/expiration dates.
- Record laboratory observations and calculations.
- Collect and prepare data for evaluation and/or trend analysis.
- Purchase materials and instruments for laboratory tests.
- Archive documentation of completed tests.
- Execute other duties assigned by laboratory management and/or immediate Supervisor.
- Assist and train/certify less experienced technicians.
- Prepare and present laboratory metrics.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with the 5's program.
- Support internal laboratory, environmental, and safety activities.
- Participate in validation or revalidation of equipment and systems controlled by the laboratory.
- Participate in revision of Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Follow established EHS policies and procedures at the plant.
- Report hazards and incidents and collaborate to find solutions or implement improvements.
- Comply with Good Documentation Practices.
- Perform Bacterial Identification testing and reports.
- High School diploma or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, or related scientific field.
- 4-6 years of related experience in the Medical Device Industry, preferably with Microbiological Quality and Sterility Assurance experience.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, etc.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and negotiation/influencing skills.
- Knowledge and execution of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO requirements.
- Knowledge and execution of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to use PCs and basic computer programs (Microsoft Office).
- Business fluent in English.
