Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at Kohler Co. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and delivery of components and raw materials to our manufacturing areas through SAP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the preparation and delivery of components and raw materials to manufacturing areas through SAP
  • Ensure timely transactions and proper inventory control to meet supermarket and assembly delivery expectations
  • Drive improvement initiatives to reduce stockouts, raise product availability, and lead on-time delivery efforts
  • Batch auditing and component label errors resolution
  • Manufacturing reports and receiving and storing JIT components at supermarket areas as intended
  • Administrate logistic movements from and to warehouse and production supermarkets
  • Determine fixed locations suitable aligned with manufacturing in general storeroom
  • Coordinate material conveyance to manufacturing areas and batch audits when required
  • Work in close relationship with Purchasing and production departments to assure appropriate inventory levels based on kanban and/or MIN MAX
  • Administration of Materials supermarkets to ensure integrity and labeling of required material in production areas
  • Oversee the receiving area and coordinates workload daily
  • Inform of receiving and cycle count discrepancies to purchasing and planning
  • Provide buyers inventory and component related information
  • Administration, creation, and maintenance of work instructions and standard work sheets
  • Ensures the correct input of received material into the system as well as transfers and adjustments
  • Supervise activities of mobile equipment and safety check list by shift
  • Supervise virtual importation receiving process to assure it matches to SAP and has been performed in time
  • Supervise that indirect materials received for specific users/areas are being delivered promptly
  • Responsible to communicate of any material damage and ensures a correct control of scrapped materials for handling reasons
  • Administration of 5S's in the warehouse and supermarket areas
  • Supervise the proper receipt of invoices in SAP and forwards all the invoices to the accounting department to pay suppliers
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as directed by the Materials Manager
  • Comply with the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position

Requirements

  • Education: Preference Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: Preference 4 years of experience as a supervisor role for warehouse activities; inventories; pull signal; Kan ban; min / max, Lean Manufacturing and ISO
