We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Plating Engineer to lead our plating process team at Infineon Technologies. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and Train Plating Support Personnel: Lead and mentor a team of plating support personnel, including chemical analysts and haz-mat handlers, to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Plan and Optimize Chemical Consumption: Develop and implement strategies to reduce chemical consumption, minimize waste, and optimize process efficiency.
- Lead Yield and Quality Improvement Projects: Identify areas for improvement and lead projects to increase yield and quality, while reducing costs and environmental impact.
- Create and Execute Training Plans: Develop and implement training programs for chemical analysis and troubleshooting, ensuring that all team members have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
- Perform Equipment and Instrument Buy-off and Commissioning: Ensure that all equipment and instruments are properly selected, installed, and commissioned to meet the needs of the plating process.
- Update Procedures and Documents: Maintain and update procedures, specifications, and other related documents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Ensure Audit Readiness: Ensure that all controls, instruments, and documents are in compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards, and that the plating process is audit-ready at all times.
- Ensure 5S Compliance: Ensure that the chemical laboratory, chemical storage, and work area are maintained in a clean and organized state, in accordance with 5S principles.
- Owns Area Cluster Projects: Lead and manage area cluster projects, such as 6-STEPS, to improve process efficiency and reduce costs.
- Improve and Maintain Control Limits: Develop and maintain control limits, DI, and Cpk to ensure that the plating process is operating within acceptable limits.
- Create Purchase Specifications: Develop and maintain purchase specifications for raw materials and new equipment to ensure that they meet the needs of the plating process.
Requirements:
- Education: Masters or Graduate degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- Language: Advanced conversational and written English.
- Experience: Experience in electrolytic plating process, problem-solving tools and applications, and knowledge of FMEA, Control Plan, and Statistics.
- Skills: Computer literate, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and experience in plating chemical analysis and safe handling of hazardous chemicals.
- Certification: Certification in IPC and experience in semiconductor manufacturing an advantage.
